A brief history of Arlington in April

In 1998, a group of ladies who made up the Arlington Chapter of APTA we looking for ways to raise money to preserve the historic sites in Arlington, Tennessee. While other chapters of APTA typically only have one site to take care of, the Arlington Chapter has five sites. This required the Arlington Chapter to get creative when it came to raising funds. What started out as an event with about 100 people highlighting the historic area by touring the historic homes and churches has blossomed into a sprawling annual event that attracts thousands of people from all over the area. Previous events have included Civil War reenactments, butter churning, pottery making, quilt making, and more.
